New Delhi Amritsar by Air

The Raja Sansi airport, about 11 km from town, is connected by domestic flights to Delhi, Srinagar and Chandigarh. You can get to town by a pre-booked rented car, taxis or auto-rickshaws. 

International flights to and from Amritsar

Amritsar Raja Sansi Airport (ATQ) has now completed Phase II of its development. New integrated terminal building was inaugurated on February 25, 2009 at the Amritsar International Airport under modernization plan to meet international standard. This has facilitated to an increased number of domestic and international flights for the convenience of tourists on religious tourism and other travel purposes. 

Several airlines operate flights from abroad, including Singapore as well as London and Birmingham and Toronto. The Airport now handles as many as forty-eight flights every week up from the occasional, intermittent ones some years ago. New flights get added at a fast pace so it is advised to check with AAI or other online booking portals for the latest updates before planning your trip.
