Ladakh India Weather

Ladakh or better known as the land of High passes is situated between the main Himalayan range and the Kunlun mountain range. Ladakh is a desert at high altitude and the monsoon does not enter this region because of the Himalayan range. The summers in the region are not too hot but the winters are freezing. The temperature in this region in summers varies from -3 degrees to 30 degrees Celsius and in winters in can go as low as -20 to -30 degree Celsius.

The weather from March to May is clear but hot as the mercury goes high in the desert. In winters Ladakh India Weather is just like any other high altitude hilly area. Most of the areas get covered with snow during the winters, which is the period between November and February.

The best time to visit Ladakh is between June and September. You can be a part of the famous Ladakh festivals and also enjoy your visit during the clear weather in this period without experiencing too much of heat of summers and snowfall in winters. It rains less here so rains will not play a spoil sport for you.
