New Delhi to Agra by Air

Daily flights to Agra’s Kheria airport are available from Delhi. It is 220 km away from Delhi. Both government and private airways operate to Agra. The travel time between Delhi and Agra is 40 minutes. Kheria airport is located 6 km from downtown Sadar bazaar.

Delhi to Agra by Train

The distance between Delhi and Agra is 203 km by train. Train no.2002 (Shatabdi Express) travels everyday from Delhi at 07:10 hrs and reaches Agra at 10:00 Hrs. Taj Express is another train which travels regularly from Delhi to Agra. It leaves Nizamuddin Railway Station in New Delhi at 0715 hours and arrives in Agra at 10:07 hours. On return, train leaves Agra at 18:55 hours and reaches Nizamuddin Railway Station at 2205 hours. The train has one compartment with 50 seats in air-conditioned class and the balance in non-air-conditioned.

Delhi Agra Delhi best way to travel

the best way is to take Taj express from Hazrat Nizamuddin station at Delhi, get off at Agra cantonment, take auto from there to Taj Mahal and from there to Agra fort and take the same train from Agra cantonment in the evening which leaves at 6.55 pm and reaches nizamuddin at 10.05 pm. Reservation is easily available 2 days before the departure and good food is is available at the restaurant on both the railway stations

By Road

Agra is 211 km away from Delhi and it is connected to all major cities in north India .It takes approx 3 hours 30 min to cover this distance by car.

Delhi Agra one day tour

Many tour operators have Delhi to Agra Mathura one day tours by AC Volvo and deluxe buses. It is a hectic tour which starts at 6 AM and finish at 10 PM. Total about 500 Kms are covered in a single day. You would spend close to twelve hours travelling to and fro including the stopovers for Breakfast, dinner etc and you get to spend very little time to see Taj Mahal, Agra fort, Mathura etc.

The price range is in between RS 600 to 900 depending upon the services offered.

A typical tour plan is Delhi to Agra (200 Kms), Agra fort Taj Mahal, Sikandra, Mathura and back to Delhi

Delhi Agra Travel tips

If Agra is the priority then avail the train services. The reason being that you spend less time travelling and you get to see the monuments in Agra with much more ease and flexibility. But in all probability you miss Mathura.
