Take National Highway 1 from Delhi Bye Pass near Azadpur and Reach Ambala in about four hours (distance 200 Kms). Some good stopovers are the famous Muruthal Dhabas Near Sonipat and / or Some good resorts near Karnal Bye pass like Karnal Haveli
From Ambala go towards Ludhiana on the same highway. NH 21 & 22 originate from this highway from Ambala and go towards Manali and Shimla respectively.
Ambala to Ludhiana Journey is about 110 Kms and takes about two hours. On entry to Ludhiana one can have a look at the famous Hero cycles factory, Monte Carlo Garments, Avon Cycles, Vardhman Industries as these are located on the National Highway

Although there is an airport at Ludhiana, there are no domestic and international flights. Chandigarh Airport at a distance of 100 Kms from Ludhiana is the nearest domestic Airport. For international flights the nearest Airport is Amritsar at a distance of about 130 Kilometers followed by Indira Gandhi International Airport at New Delhi at a distance of 350 Kilometers from Ludhiana.
Raja Sansi International Airport also known as Guru Ram Das International Airport, after Guru Ram Das Ji, the founder of Amritsar, is located about 11km from the city centre on the Amritsar-Ajnala Road, near the village of Raja Sansi. It is connected by domestic flights to Delhi, Srinagar and Chandigarh.
This airport also serves the nearby cities of Jalandhar and Amritsar also as the nearest international airport is in Delhi only.
