Go Air Baggage Allowance
Go air is very clear about their baggage allowance. Go air baggage allowance related information is mentioned below:
Go Air Cabin baggage
You can carry maximum one piece of baggage as defined by the Bureau of civil Aviation Security (BCAS) guidelines. This baggage weight should not be more than 10kgs and its size ratio should be [55cm + 35cm + 25cm (Total 115 cm).
In case a customer wants to carry oversized item which can safely fit in the seat then in this case the customer has to book the additional seat on that particular flight ( which is again subjected to availability). Nowhere the baggage weight should not more than 75kgs and its height should not be more than the headrest of the seat. In case the airline finds that the size of the baggage is not according to the guidelines then they have right to refuse you to take that baggage.
Other than cabin baggage
Here, Go Air allows 20kgs of luggage to those customers who are travelling under the Go Smart and Go Flexi plan and 35kgs for those who are travelling under Go business plan. As per the guidelines for the baggage size, it should not exceed 158cm in overall dimensions. In the few sectors like Srinagar and Jammu you cannot carry hand baggage other then laptop and camera but the total baggage they can carry is 30kgs and 45kgs on GoSmart/GoFlexi & GoBusiness plan respectively.
If the baggage is excess than 20kgs in Go Smart and 35kgs for Go Business plan passengers then they have to pay 100Rs per kilogram for the additional baggage. They have to pay this at airport check-in counter. Due to safety reasons Go Air does not accepts weight more than 32kgs for any individual items.
Items like musical equipment, sport item or any item which is oversized are not restricted but for this customers have to pay 1000 Rupees additional on every item.
