Temples and tourist places around Shirdi

After visiting the Saibaba temple you can also visit tourist places, which are near the Shirdi temple. You can get the travel facilities outside the temple.

Shani Shingnapur

A temple devoted to Lord Shani is located here at Shani Shingnapur. Shani Shingnapur is an important Shrine for Lord Shani. There is a stone pillar, which is supposed to embody the image of lord Shani, which is worshipped with deep respect and reverence.

It is located halfway between Shirdi and Aurangabad. Shani Singnapur is located at a distance of 75 kms from Shirdi (roughly 1.5 hrs journey). One can take buses, jeeps or private cabs from Shirdi to visit this place. Bus package tour from Mumbai to Shirdi also covers this place.

Tryambakeshwar Temple

A temple devoted to Lord Shiva is located here. Tryambakeshwar is one of the twelve “Jyotirlingas” dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is located at a distance of 100 kms from Shirdi at Nasik on the Shirdi Mumbai road. Devotees comming from Mumbai in private vehicles generally stop here before proceeding towards Shirdi

Ajanta & Ellora Caves

It is located at the distance of 144 kilometers from Shirdi. The 29 Ajanta caves were hidden deep in the Sahyadari hills. The caves were discovered in the beginning of the 19th century. The caves mainly display the story of Buddhism.

The 34 Ellora caves are carved into the sides of a basaltic hill. These caves represent the three faiths of Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism.
